New Toy
The gym has a new toy, a Torque Sled. It is replacing the old sleds which I love but are cumbersome in the space and can’t be taken outside. I’ll miss the old guys and would have taken one home but they need a turf strip which I lack. As a bonding exercise, I pushed the new sled along the mile route on Monday morning. The picture is the turnaround. It was a fun challenge and start to the week. I’d happily do a weekly mile push, playing around with different weights, gears and times to completion. The owner had knocked out a workout of four rounds of 15, 36 inch box jumps and a 200 meter push before I took it off his hands. No end of ways to incorporate a sled in a workout. Bottom line, sleds pushes keep workouts lively with the added benefit of making your glutes strong and tight. Low barrier to entry. All you need to do is push. Simple and effective fitness at play. Come try it!
