AMRAP 53
Today, as a birthday card, my great friend Candace sent me this pic of us at Grad along with a bunch of other shots from yesteryear. We’ve been friends since Grade 8. She is one of those people you can tell anything to sans judgement, while laughing your head off. Grateful to have her in my life. Hit gym at 6 for early morning amrap 53*. Needed to get in and get out today.

*amrap = as many rounds as possible in time allotted, in this case 53 minutes. (3+7)
Felt laden down in workout from a less than stellar diet over the last few days. Burpee box jump overs were a slow slog, awkward leap to ground followed by thudding on box constituted a rep. Nonetheless, fun to do. Another coach arrived about 6:20am. She usually works out then as it is quiet. Classes start at 8am on Saturday and the place basically gets hopping for hours thereafter.
I’m trying to register for the IBEX Wellness Challenge which starts on Monday, January 16 but their system is having glitches and it won’t take my sign-up. They are working to fix the problem. It is a 30 day commitment with prizes for top male and female winners. The other obstacle to doing it is that registration involves taking before shots and a pic of my weight on the scale and sending them in. UNAPPEALING ACTIONS! Such is the nature of a challenge, forces you to do what you don’t want to for your apparent greater good. Time to face the music? Tomorrow will tell.
