Simple Steps Nutrition: What’s your diet like?
What do you like to eat folks? Do you view food as fuel? A friend or a foe? Are you structured in your meals or is it more come what may? Do you know how many calories you eat each day and how they are divided up i.e. carb and protein and fat ratios? If you want to make body composition changes, you need to know these things - well. It will take time and practice to get the right balance. No quick fixes. In my experience, 3 months is just enough time to gather data and get systems to propel you forward. Real, sustainable change takes about 6 months. But, people can grow frustrated an throw in the towel because of the effort required to switch gears. “This isn’t working!” and back to their old ways they go. I’ve done it. So, I know. Now I’ve learned to grow from the mishaps. Time goes so fast. If at first you don’t succeed, learn and try again, stronger with the knowledge of what came before. If you want to make a change to your diet, let’s figure out where you are at today. Step one. Track what you eat for a day. Start with just. one. day. Options: Write it down. Take photos. In-put in My Fitness Pal or another tracking app. Once we have the goods we can figure out what to do next! You may be surprised to learn you are under-eating. It will be interesting to see what is what.
